According to several sources BB cream was originally created by Christine Schrammek, born in Poland in 1917. She initially ran a wholesale plant, but began studying the effectiveness of herbs and other natural items in the 50's. As the years progressed, she was able to improve her practices to produce a line of holistic dermatological cosmetic treatments, the first of which was her green tea peel, and in the in the late 60's/early 70's the first of her cosmetic remedial lines was created: the first BB cream. Today that particular brand has been the inspiration for over one hundred different off shoots of the product that have consumer acclaimed improved formulas that offer eight-in-one skincare regimen right in one product. The BB is an acronym for Blemish Balm, Beauty Balm, Belblesh Balm, etc. That part is of the product history is not entirely clear to us; but the purpose is: To give the wearer clear, even, natural-looking coverage of problem areas whilst simultaneously fixing them.
There are several brands of bb cream with which we here are familiar with, and those are Skin79, Missha, Laneige, Estee Lauder, Dr. med Christine Shrammek's own brand, and Hanskin. This does not even begin to cover the gamut of bb creams that exist in the modern market, nor is it an accurate representation of the most popular bb creams. There is some noted resistance to buying BB creams that are presented in Western markets; it seems that a lot of patrons have found that the would be BB's are nothing more than tinted moisturizers.. Which is what BB cream basically is. See, we don't understand why that's so hard for enthusiasts to understand.

- BB cream, also known as Blemish Balm or Blemish Base, is a cosmetic item sold in Korea.
As you can see there is a lot of collective confusion about what it is; therefore, we are entirely sure that BB cream is tinted moisturizer, plus some added benefit, which is okay by us because we understand a thing or two about packaging. The diaspora surrounding BB cream is precedes us, but we'll try our best to cover as much material as possible over the next few weeks.
