Maybelline Volume Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

      So here's to my endless pursuit to replace 2,000 calorie, huh? Well I can say without a doubt that this was not one of my better attempts, but there's still some good to reveal here. Let's take a look:

Packaging.

      I love the color and the sleekness of the design, it's very nice. The one thing that I don't like is that there's a catch when you first open the product, and forget about getting it back open if you screw it shut too tight. Also, the part that carries the brush broke on mine, so I had to take it off. Rotten luck I guess.

Applicator.

      The silver lining with the applicator breaking is that I didn't like it anyway. It didn't cover enough ground for its length and to top that off the tip caught too much of the product and that made it more difficult to get my inner lashes without makeup boo-boos.

Coloring.

       This product has a nice, deep, and accurate color, and dries matte.

Smell.

      This mascara smelled terrible. It smelled like graphic pen ink and alcohol, and it irritated my eyes. I don't recommend using it if you have sensitive skin or an acute sense of smell, because this will make your eyes run.

Durability.

       After the first 5 hours, this mascara may begin to flake. It makes your lashes really stiff after it dries, so be careful to put it on slowly and maybe use two hands when putting it on. Not very desirable for those with naturally curved lashes obviously, but using a heated lash curler could possibly fix any problems one would run into while using this product.

Overall.

      3/5 stars, because ingredients, smell, and applicator were not on my good side at all. But I guess that's the whole product basically, right? It could be the best thing someone else has ever used, so don't be discouraged by me from giving this one a try, anyhow. I didn't use a heated curler or primer with this product either; maybe using one or the other, or both could really improve the application for you guys? Let us know!
