"Banish greasy spots and take control of oil! Our lightweight gel keeps you matte all day long. Dab it on for touch-ups without messing your makeup.According to Urban Decay dot com, this product has almost five stars in the areas of Ease of Application, Effectiveness, Quality, and Ease of Use (I'm not really sure what the difference between this category and the first are). Here's my rating:
It's time to take control of your oil and put your matte face forward. Our lightweight gel performs anywhere, anytime: dab it on all day for touch-ups without ruining your perfectly applied makeup. It's completely color-neutral, so it works great on naked skin, under foundation, or over makeup. Formulated to help tighten pores for a youthful, shine-free finish. De-Slick even works to keep skin matte under hot studio lights and in the muggiest of heat (so you know this addicting formula provides fierce absorbing action.)

- Ease of Application: I doesn't even come out of the tube sometimes. When I first got this product, I had to apply unforseen force in order to get a small sample of the product out. The texture is like that of over cooked rice and the color is eggshell white. Totally gross.
- Effectiveness: After initially fighting with the bottle to excrete some of the product, I still put it on my face. It made my face even more shiny than it was in the first place, and the coverage was.. chalky to say the least. It oxidized very quickly and left a gross residue feeling on my skin.
- Quality: No. This is not a quality product. I could have used baby powder and fared better than I had with this application, and that would have dried my skin out, flaking my makeup.
- Ease of Use: When applied under makeup, it begins flaking very shortly after. When applied on top of make up, as was suggested for touch ups, it removes makeup and becomes a gross chalky mess. 0/10 points
- Packaging: As always, the packaging was totally cute! I was very drawn in by the promises and packaging of this product. Why wouldn't I be though? It's purple, the letters and a foiled sivler feel to them, and I'm a sucker for cute clip art design, like a lot of girls are. Packaging rating: 5/5.
If that seems too harsh, use this stuff for yourself! If you get similar results, I'm sorry; I was really excited to try this stuff on, and really disappointed when it fell short of its acclaim. Still, Maybe the other forms of this so-called wonder mattifyer do just what they say they will? I'm betting on the spray form to be honest. I am glad that this was a gift though! ;) Well that's all for this beauty blunder, save yourselves the hassle ladies, but do check this product our as a pressed powder from the brand site!
