SENNA STARDUST FACE AND BODY BLING

I was lucky enough to receive these while working with Sindulge for this post, so I want to get a review out while it's still fresh in my mind! I have been fiddling with these items for a hot minute because a) I'm new to using highlighter and b) I seldom touch lip gloss to my lips. I don't think I did too bad a job on the highlighter, and I do mean what of it I actually applied and not my naturally glowing T-zone (a joke). This is my second time trying products by Senna, and I'm completely hooked! The powder is smooth and the gloss is complimentary with out being too overwhelming. Read all about it after the jump!

     Color.
Okay so the shimmer gloss is a new naturalista beauty weapon of choice for me. It's gold notes compliment both brown and pink cast lips without muting out those oh so important tones. the gloss itself has a subtle shimmer that is reminiscent of loose body sparkle. It looks thick in the tube, but not on. As for the shimmery highlight pact and loose powder, the pact is a very concentrated champagne color, while the loose powder is light with gold-toned granules packed in. The loose powder and pacts are interchangeable as highlighter, or combine-able with preference given to the loose powder.
    Scent.
Talc. I can't tell you why I even bother including this item in my reviews anymore, especially when nearly all cosmetics smell like talc!
    Durability.
I like that the gloss has stick to it; it makes it easier because I feel like the shimmer lasts longer this way. It doesn't mix well with other lip products, so my recommendation is that you do a lip conditioning mask before using this product and drink copious amounts of water. Both of the shimmering powders apply and spread quite nicely, but they'll look granular and caked if their applied directly to unmoisturized skin. I typically get eight hours of coverage at the very least from these powders, and the lip gloss lasts indefinitely, as in until I decide to wipe it off; it does transfer though.
    Price.
The set can be purchased for 35.00USD at Sennacosmetics.com, or elsewhere at your discretion.
    Applicator.
Pact does not come with one. Lip gloss has the felt tipped spatula that is standard for most lip glosses.

I liked that there was a little paper retainer to  hold the products away from each other, if they were loose in their box the pact would probably have exploded into a shimmery mess in the box and I don't need that. Also, upon opening the loose powder portion, I noticed that there was a protective sticker to retain the powder (and probably to keep it fresh since we're monitoring the shelf life of our beauty products). The gloss may or may not have come as is, It's been a while since I opened it. One thing that I did find funny (yes, I chortle every time), is that the gloss is so tightly pat in it's tube that upon opening it, the applicator wan shoots straight up from the container. It's reminiscent of a Peter Pan scene.
Overall.
5/5 stars for this duo, it was a good first experience, if that's the suited terminology. I can honestly say that I'm more interested in venturing into contouring techniques thanks to this!

I don't know how to use highlighter but I bet you do. Lem'me know on Twitter (@cloud9kollektiv).
