I'm no Korean skincare veteran but I don't need to be one to know how serious the skincare regimen in that locale can get (my kind of enthusiasts, to be honest). I'm also a novice when it comes to brands, because I only know of those that have come into existence in the last 12 years, and the history behind some of the best skin care products you'll find on this planet
is more extensive than I can justifiably cover in one entry. This item in particular comes from brand Lee Ji Ham Cosmetic's 5 alpha control series, and when I say it's a bit hard to come by, that's exactly what I mean. The whole line is meant to regulate the production of sebum in the skin while delivering essential nourishment, and it probably works more effectively if you have got the entire line, which I do not; I've merely got the final step, but I'm extremely happy with the results! Here's why:

Here's why:
Consistency. This product is in between textures, so if you can imagine somewhere between a light cream and an emulsion, then this product would be it. It's too stiff to be called an emulsion, but just viscous enough that it can't really be called a cream. I like the texture because it's easy to spread!
Scent.
It has a light, gardenia-esque essence to it, so if you're in the market for fragrance free skincare, keep looking. There is not one cosmetic or skincare item from overseas that I've personally tried where it doesn't have some kind of fruity or flowery fragrance.
Durability.
What I liked most about this product is the fact that it lasted so long without making me look shiny or accumulating oil in my trouble zones. I put it on underneath my liquid foundation and it doesn't clog my pores, it's like a second skin that treats my oiliness without suffocating my skin. For night use, I usually put it one and go straight to sleep, and in the morning my skin feels noticeably smoother than it usually does. It doesn't treat zits, but it doesn't make existing skin issues worse. It's great for me in particular because even though I have oily skin, it doesn't necessarily get the moisture it needs, and this product helps correct that while controlling the oily-ness.
Price.
The lowest price I've seen for this item is 42.00USD, but I'm sure it's more expensive than that. On average, it looks like it goes for about 60.00USD and, is if that wasn't hard enough to swallow, it's a bit harder to come by than it's contemporaries. My suggestion is trying a local international market outlet, though samples may be the only fruits of the search.
Ingredients.I haven't been able to find them so.. They're a) a secret, or they're b) a secret. I literally went through almost one hundred pages searching for English ingredients.. Well if someone else out there knows, please shoot me an email or share in the comment section below, thank you!
Packaging. The product comes in a jar, and though I prefer vacuum pump for basically everything because it's more hygenic and increases the shelf life of my makeup and skincare, I have no complaint with this item; use a makeup spatula to scoop out the amount you need and be golden~
Overall.
Five out of five stars, hands down. I asked for a cream that would combat my oily skin while also providing me with serious moisture, and Lee Ji Ham delivered. If there was anything that I didn't like, it was the price, but if the rest of their products are as good as the cream then I may just keep an open mind from here on!
