Good evening my nocturnally gifted kinsmen!
Ha just kidding. But naturally, I'm not keen on openings of any kind so I'll just get right to the point: False eyelashes for my life because they make my eyes look bigger, I have a big face and small eyes, bless the person who thought that faslies would make the world a more beautiful place.
No really the purpose of this post is to appreciate the concept of putting extensions on your eyelash to lie about how full your eyelashes on. Really, Truly. I myself own four pair of eyelashes: one pair that looks natural, one pair suited to unadulterated gyaru style, one for black tie affairs, and one for.. Halloween, they're black and this prismatic silver color. They are my muse in this moment and I wear one of the three acceptable-by-my-standards pairs everyday, right after my skin care routine. They're fairly easy to apply as long as you know what you're dealing with in terms of quality. I usually examine everything by a lax criteria such as this:

Halloween, they're black and this prismatic silver color. They are my muse in this moment and I wear one of the three acceptable-by-my-standards pairs everyday, right after my skin care routine. They're fairly easy to apply as long as you know what you're dealing with in terms of quality. I usually examine everything by a lax criteria such as this:
Is it perfumed?
Does it have anything in it I'm allergic to, or that would otherwise cause contact dermatitis?
Does it contain heavy dyes that will cause discoloration from moderate exposure?
Is it worth the price?
Is it made of plastic?
Needless to say this hardly works for falsies so, as a rule of thumb, I always opt for a pair that comes with adhesive and the band is very pliable. Only one pair of lashes that I own is really obviously made with a cheap plastic that is impossible to work with, and that's the round-top-eye pair. I.. hardly use those ones, of the three pair I'll wear everyday. They're too stiff and that's no fun. My eyes aren't really shaped like that. And if I could work with them I would wear them, but I just put them on when I'm taking selcas because they're really cute, just they're a lot of work for someone who only goes to work, that's all I do now.
Enough of my prattling on, I have some tips and trick with false eyelash use!
Applying false eyelashes: The "hands free" method.
- Open your eyelash package and prep your glue by opening it and clearing any excess glue from the threaded part of the container. Dispense a very small amount onto a clean surface like an index card or foil.
- Peel the lashes from the mount using your small finger or a small set of tweezers, this way they'll be ready when you apply the glue.
- Using a small, angled eyeliner brush, pick up a small amount of the eyelash glue and sweep it across your lid, from the inner corner of your eye to the outside.
- Pick up the lash, not touching the band, and place the band directly in the glue line. Do not use your fingers to press the band down as you're most likely to get glue on your fingers and apply the lash to the wrong body part!
- Use the other end of your elected glue brush to press your lashes in place, rolling the upward against the lashes.
- Repeat steps one through five on the other eye.
- You're done!

- Dip the band of the eyelash into the glue dot, being careful not to get any excess glue in the lash itself.
- Using tweezers, apply the lashes as close to your natural lash line as possible, for precision's sake you may want to hold the lashes on the outside edge first, then adjust the lashes by rolling them into your lash line using the tweezers.
- Repeat steps one through four for the other eye.
- You're done!
Don't worry about the name lol this is what I do with my lashes because I don't wanna go take all this stuff out and I've been dealing with falsies long enough that I hardly run into problems when doing it:
- Open your eyelash package and prep your glue by opening it and clearing any excess glue from the threaded part of the container.
- Peel the lashes from the mount using
your small finger or a small set of tweezers, this way they'll be ready
when you apply the glue. Or, you can just pull them up in the grain of the stand adhesive.
- Dispense a very small amount of glue onto your small finger (pinky).
- swipe the lash band through the glue, using your other hand and be careful not get any glue in the lashes.
- With lashes held between your index finger and thumb, gently place the lashes along you natural lash line.
- Roll the lashes upward using your fingers.
- Repeat steps one through six for the other eye.
- You're done!
These are your choices bonnie-bells.
- Using a Q-tip (aka cotton swab) dipped in water, olive oil, toner, or makeup remover, sweep the swab across the lid in the opposite direction of your application, until the lash detaches. You can also use a solution of alcohol with water if your glue is a bit stronger.
- (Screaming internally, but begrudgingly giving this advice because it does work yet it's bad for your skin at the same time) Tug the lashes off starting from the outer eye working in with gentle tugs.
- Be sure to trash that nasty display adhesive before applying falsies! They can ruin the entire application.
- Be mindful of what type of false eyelashes you're using: are they made of plastic fibers or human hair? If so, the maintenance will vary.
- Don't just pull your lashes off ever! this is bad for the skin of your eyelid and for the product!
- Don't use superglue to apply your lashes! It seems like a good idea until you actually do it!
- Don't sleep in your lashes! If you know you're not going home, a lash carrying case, similar to a lens case is your best choice!

- You can blend your false/natural lashes by using mascara after applying the false lashes.
- You can apply lashes over makeup so long as you are careful what type of glue you use and have a steady hand. Relax! this gets easier the more times you do it.
- It doesn't matter what color the lash glue you use is, as long as you apply the correct amount you won't have to worry about clumpy glue-y mess around the eye area. But you may be inclined to use a black or clear color adhesive when you're just starting to use lashes, as a head's up.
- Confidence! Be confident when wearing any style, it's like, the best accessory, with a smile placing a close second.
