NEW Interactive map for Beauty & Fashion Bloggers!

|
Hey guys; first of all happy new year! I hope you've already accomplished some of your new year's resolutions, but with special consideration to the idea that we're setting goals in the first place; if not, that's good too, means we know ourselves well enough not to set up for failure. Anyway, in the past year a lot of great ideas and opportunities have landed in my inbox from a lovely evening at the Titanic exhibit in my area to co-hosting opportunities for other great channels! Now, I want to share with you another project that I'm working on and that I hope you'll be elated to jump in on:

Above is an interactive world map that I'm using to show where I'm from and I'm hoping to have a lot more beauty and fashion bloggers add their own pin to the board. You can include as much or as little information as you want, but it'd be nice if you all could include a picture and a link at the very minimum. It doesn't matter where you are from so as you include at least a zip, you'll be able to drop a pin. I have already included my own pin and a little snippet about my zine, would you guys like to join me? If so, the link to the map can be accessed here, or by clicking the image above. Thank you again for your support and let's make this year great!

CloudNineKollektiv: Weekly Blog Hop Roundup!

|
We've been surfing the web all week and catching up on our own favorite blogs. Eighty-eight hours and several teacups later, we've pulled together a roster of our favorite reads from this past week to share with you! They come from beauty blogs and we thought that their content was so good that it couldn't hurt to share it a second (or third) time!:

Why you Shouldn't take all Product Reviews at Face Value.

|
We read about as many critical reviews as the next person but we do have our cut off point - it's when the reviews start to sound like these guys.
There comes a time in every fashionista's life when she must abandon the world of 'rumor has it' when it comes to researching prospective additions to her faceted collection of beauty buys (and steals), and it is indicated by the start what we're going to refer to herein as ' the review rut'. It's that period in of time where one runs into nothing but negative, non-constructive reviews (and unintentionally too). It is at this time that we often lose quite a bit of insight into why we read reviews in the first place, and what we should be getting out of them:

Cloud Nine Kollektiv: Weekly Blog Hop!

|

It's time for the next of our weekly beauty blog hops; we're sticking with the pseudo-roster style throught February of next year as a heads up. We've included each of these domains because we  love their content (and they've mentioned some products that we're keen on obtaining in the next couple of weeks!)
Adna Cosmetic
Makeup For Life
Weekend Ramblings
Brandy Rich Makeup Artist Blog
Lovely CosmeBlog
Makeup by Kim Porter
Jing-ai Natural Beauty
As usual, it's near impossible to include emerging beauty blogs without submission from our readers; we read over 100 beauty blogs already and that number expands daily, we want to hear from you! If you have, or know of any beauty blogs that are newer with good content but need an extra little push, submit them here, okay? This is the end of another blog hop, but you should be on the lookout for a newsletter in the next couple of days! Happy reading.

Friday Blog Hop: Abridged Edition

|
Hey guys, we're so glad to have so many readers! Really, we appreciate all of you and we want to hear from you, we don't judge and we are open to discussion on google plus (and youtube, our channel will be launching soon~). Well it's a bit late now, but it's time for the weekly blog hop! We noticed that we had only been including nice blogs from this domain, so we included some from other places too! We won't be able to make this post very long because we're changing states in a few hours and we need to pack, but there will be links, and lots of them (no screen caps this time, sorry!) Let the hop begin!

Coming Soon: Weekly Beauty Blog Hop!

|
Along side our weekly 'Shop Love' campaign, we'll be hosting a weekly blog hop! We'll pick five of our favorite blogs each week and provide a detailed review, plus highlights from the most recent posts! We encourage everyone to participate in our blog hops by submitting their pages, comments, or feedback at the end of each week to our e-mail. There are a lot of great beauty blogs out there that don't get enough recognition; we want to change that, but we're gonna need help from our readers. Tune in, speak up, stand out!
-C9K
UPDATE:
We have already determined what pages will be included in our first line up, but you are welcome to submit your pages still! E-mail us or use the DM feature on Twitter (@cloud9kollektiv) to get more info on how to participate.

Shop Love: Teaser 1/5.

|
"Your favorite spot to ruminate is a crackled, worn leather chair at your neighborhood cafe. You're headed there today, and as a last-minute thought, you button this pagoda-esque cardigan on with your indie tee, slim jeans, and ballet flats. Upon arriving, you're glad you decided to wear this charcoal sweater. Its diamond-textured knit, closed at top by three buttons, keeps you warm despite the slight draft today, and its stand-up collar and wide, cropped sleeves have you looking so sharp, the barista - who you've always had a crush on - comments on how nice you look!"
Chances are, you already know where we're headed with a teaser like this: we're taking on a 'sweater weather is better weather' approach in favor of our weekly collective shop hop! We'll reveal the shop source at the end of each week (though many of you already know where our pieces came from), but reveal a clue daily, followed by a little blip about why each piece appropriately reflects our subject!
Why this Piece?
In favor of the official ushering in of Fall, I've been doing a major wardrobe haul in favor of sweaters and cute but functional outerwear. This piece in particular I chose for its construction and versatility; this cardigan is warm enough that you wouldn't have to layer up underneath it to keep toasty and a great prologue to an a-line or empire waisted dress with tent trimming, preferably one that hits at about mid thigh.
The Clue-In.
Samples galore, the consumers are the judges of the merchant's product base, directly.
